Is Xiaomi Pad 5 really interesting?
Xiaomi Pad 5 has been released at an attractive price and comes with some amazing specs and features. Let me explain if this is actually a recommended device.
Xiaomi has done really well in the design of their Pad 5. It will definitely not lag behind other tablets in the market in terms of design. Although its back panel is made of plastic, it retains its premium. Looking at the design, it seems that Xiaomi is inspired by Apple. And the side of the device is much thinner so that it looks premium and the hand feel is also quite good. The power button is at the top and the position seems to be right and the volume button is at the top right. In Xiaomi Pad 5, SIM card is not supported but its WiFi connectivity is good.
However, it did not provide any fingerprint scanner for Xiaomi's cost-cutting. For unlocking there is as usual PIN/Password and software-based face unlock as biometric.
Xiaomi uses an IPS panel as a display with a 2.5K resolution which is quite sharp with120Hz refreshing rate. Its aspect ratio is 16:10 with HDR10 + support. Xiaomi Pad 5 has Dolby Atmos support with quad speakers which greatly enhances the content-watching experience. Whether you watch YouTube, Netflix, or any other content, you are sure to be impressed. Its sound quality makes it easy to feel the depth and you can easily tell which one is coming from the right and which one is coming from the left. It is safe to say that this is a great device for content watching. However, if it had a headphone jack, it would have been more user-friendly.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 has a battery of 8720 mAh which is supported by 33w fast charging. But there is a 22.5w charger as box content. Its battery backup is quite good which lasts for 2 days effortlessly and if used too much it will take 1.5 days which is not bad at all.
As a processor, it uses Snapdragon 80 which is an old chipset but quite stable. At AnTuTu Benchmark it is able to score 580,000++. Almost all the games are playable and can be played in max settings. This device is running on Android11-based MIUI 13. Although it is an MIUI device, the great thing is that it does not have any unnecessary preinstalled applications. And it has multi-user support that can be fully customized separately. And besides, this device is great for multitasking.
The recent price of the Xiaomi Pad 5 starts in Uk at GBP 244 and in India at INR 26,999 and in Bangladesh at BDT 31,000 which is a great deal for Pad 5 as a tablet.
